DICIN Electric Company, Incorporated is a company that cares about our community. DICIN has provided numerous donations to programs, fundraisers, and campaigns seeking support over the years. In the town of Waterford, DICIN is most known for our charitable contributions to support youth programs, which provide opportunities for all children. Additionally, President Cindy Hersom serves on The Waterford High School Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee and is an executive board member of The Kelsey S. Harrington Foundation. Cindy served for over two years as an Advisory Board Member for the Women’s Business Development Council and she served a two-year term on the Waterford Board of Ethics Committee.

DICIN Electric Co., Inc. Supports Community Safety

In support of the Waterford Police Department, DICIN Electric donated all the labor and material for the electrical installation at the town’s firing range facility. DICIN Electric provided power to the on-site building by running conduit and wire necessary for the interior lights and receptacles. DICIN Electric was also responsible for running the conduit and wire to the exterior poles and then mounting and wiring the exterior light fixtures.  

 Chief Brett Mahoney of the Waterford Police Department stated, “Law enforcement training has become more important than ever before, with high profile shootings and use of force incidents taking center stage in the national media’s attention. Police Officers work two-thirds of the time at night or low light conditions, making realistic law enforcement low light or dark range training paramount.

 DICIN Electric’s donation of their labor and expertise to safely wire the Town of Waterford’s police shooting range ultimately makes our public and our officers safer, which is what we strive for as guardians of our community. We thank the DICIN team for their support of the Waterford Police Department and the townspeople we serve.”

DICIN, A proud sponsor of the 2017 Waterford High School All Night Safe Grad Party!

On Saturday, May 20, 2017, students from the WHS class of 2017, worked hard washing cars for donations only.  Featured below is the group of student volunteers
with Taso, owner of Crown Pizza in Waterford.  Crown Pizza, another small Connecticut business donated pizza to the student volunteers.

DICIN Electric supplied the soap, brushes, buckets, and hoses necessary for the fundraiser. Our President also created unique infographics for social media use. DICIN Electric's time, talent, and treasure helped drive in the cars for the fundraiser, which raised over $500.00 in less than three hours. 

Additionally, DICIN Electric's generous donation supported a night of racing and jumping at the NasKart Indoor Kart Racing and Trampoline Park. 

Waterford Babe Ruth League 

Summer of 2016

DICIN Electric supported the fundraising efforts of the Waterford Babe Ruth All-Star Team.  The team won their way to the Babe Ruth League World Series summer of 2016. The tremendous achievement was also an expensive one for team members and their families. DICIN was one of many local businesses to financially support the players and their families with this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Waterford Youth Football & Cheer League 

The members of the Waterford Youth Football & Cheer league acquired used lights from the town of East Lyme.  DICIN Electric was a major sponsor on this project. They donated time and talent along with financial support to light up the field.
